ChildFund strives to ensure that deprived, excluded, and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and become young adults, parents, and leaders who inspire lasting and positive change in their communities. ChildFund promotes communities whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting, and advancing the worth and rights of children.
ChildFund in India has been representing the voices of underserved children in the country with its country office based in Bengaluru and program office in Delhi, which is also the registered office of ChildFund India.
ChildFund in India works in 85 districts across 15 States. Through long-term partnerships and direct implementation, it annually reaches nearly 3 million children, youth, and their families from 3200 communities/villages.
Through its unique programs, ChildFund provides comprehensive support to children from birth until they reach 24 years of age through holistic interventions integrating health, nutrition, gender, education, livelihoods, and child protection.
ChildFund’s interventions are aligned with age-specific and contextual needs, utilizing a unique Life Stage approach based on children’s experiences of deprivation, exclusion, and vulnerability:
- Life Stage 1: Maternal Health and Early Child Development (ages 0-5)
- Life Stage 2: Childhood and Adolescence (ages 6-14)
- Life Stage 3: Youth/Young Adults (age 15-24)
Gender equality and humanitarian relief work are also key focus areas that cross-cut programming across all Life Stages.
ChildFund’s unparalleled longstanding community presence and long-term partnerships with grassroots NGOs ensures that our programming fosters an enabling environment where children can grow to their fullest potential. ChildFund works in tandem with communities, the government, academic institutions and corporates to strengthen child protection systems in order to prevent violence against children and protect them from abuse, neglect and harm.
